Fiery Red Horse - Fuzzstortion
The FIERY RED HORSE is our most versatile fuzz pedal. It offers over-the-top saturation and sustain, as well as big, dynamic fuzzstortion tones. This version returns to the roots of the first Fiery Red Horse (based on the Triangle-era Big Muff) and adds a switch to toggle the number of clipping gain stages from 1 to 2 to 3. This simple change lets the circuit move from crunch tones to wall of sound fuzzstortion to extreme gain with sustain that doesn't quit.
POWER SUPPLY - Accepts the industry standard, 9 VDC, negative-tip power supply.
Controls
LEVEL - controls the output of the fuzz GAIN - sets the gain sent into the dual distortion/fuzz stages POWER - sets the amount of power sent to the gain stages, up to 12V. STAGES - selects the number of gain stages in the circuit, from 1 to 3. Use one stage for a crunchy drive tone, 2 stages for a vintage Big Muff circuit, and 3 stages for extreme gain. TONE - blends between a LPF & HPF filter. Clockwise = more treble & less bass MIDS - sets the cutoff frequency of the filters in the tone circuit. UP = mid scoop, MIDDLE = flat mids, DOWN = mid boost LED - This internal trimpot affects the brightness of the LED indicator. DUALMODE - Wait 3 seconds and press tap + tap + hold for 3 seconds with the footswitch to activate or deactivate momentary mode.
